23/11/2007 Art fundraiser for National Eisteddfod. On November 22, Grahame Davies took part in a special event at the Wales Millennium Centre, Cardiff, which brough poets and artits together in an artistic venture to raise money for the National Eisteddfod of Wales, which is being held in Cardiff in 2008. 'Gair o Gelf' was the response of the local Appeal Committee to the challenge of raising money for the Eisteddfod. Twenty-two poets and artists with Cardiff connections were invited to take part, working together in pairs to produce artworks which responded to the city. The collaboration produced an exciting collection of original works which are being used to raise money through auction, through the sale of prints, greetings cards and books. Grahame worked with the artist Helen Stiff, who produced a picture in response to Grahame's poem 'Llwyd' (Grey), shown below.
